Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Outcomes  

  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients 

  • Work with internal team and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue within the company 

  • Find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients and continue to grow business in the future 

  • Cultivate leads and/or cold call as appropriate, nationwide to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.  

  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. 

  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. 

  • Research and build relationships with new clients. 

  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals. 

  • Plan approaches and pitches. * Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. 

  • Participate in pricing the solution/service. 

  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. 

  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client. 

Desired Skills and Abilities 

  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred in a BDM role or seasoned Account Manager looking to take the next step 

  • Possessing a “hunter” mentality, and enjoy prospecting 

  • Experience networking, prospecting, sales planning, territory management and public speaking 

  • Research, writing, closing skills, identification of customer needs and challenges 

  • Thorough communicator and genuinely enjoys people 

  • Excellent problem solver, inquisitive and sound listener 

  • Ambitious and articulate self-starter with an exceptional work ethic 

  • Strong organizational abilities 

  • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization as well as with clients 

  • Has the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. 

  • Has a highly energetic and goal-oriented personality 

  • Knowledge of how to use social media effectively
